Lenzie Youth Club

CONSTITUTION

OBJECTIVE:

Participation--not anti-social behaviour!

 

MEMBERSHIP:

Young people from 8 and older, irrespective of religion, race & creed, with the majority from the East Dumbartonshire and North Lanarkshire area.

 

PROGRAMME:

General youth club to fill the leisure time of young people in a manner that will benefit them, and show them how to make use of their own particular assets and to improve them, to learn the value of seld-discipline,tolerance and the necessity of working for and with others to their mutual benefit.

 

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE:

Consists of a President, Chairperson, and Secretary plus one representative of each age group.

 

SECTIONS:

The club will be broken into age sections, with every section to be under the leadership of three section leaders. One to have knowledge of first aid and at least one to have basic youth work training or coaching certificate.

 

FINANCE:

All sections to be self sufficient, with running costs taken from a monthly levy from the young people in the section. All sections to keep an up-to-date accounts book. All accommmodation/park fees will be paid by the club but must be reimbursed by the sections. The club will publish a four monthly running account and an annual budget account.

DISCIPLINE:

Any young person not meeting with the discipline standards of the club, will be asked to leave. If parents/young person wishes to appeal against this, a letter must be sent to the club secretary, this will be discussed by the mangement committee and a reply sent.

 

SECTION LEADERS:

Section Leaders must lead by example, being fair to all the young people in their section, showing respect not only to them but also to those in authority, be it referees, administrators, or parents.

 

EQUIPMENT:

This is the club's property, the club will endeavour to supply football strips through sponsorship. Any other items required should be purchased by the section. Should a section leader resign, the equipment of that section must be returned to the club.

FUND RAISING:

Each section is permitted to raise funds for projects, i.e. trips, sweat tops, etc. however, any projects must be self- financing.

 

DEVELOPMENT:

This is what the club is all about, with everyone working to improve the young people in their section, encouraging them, and build their self esteem and confidence:
